As one of the foremost international CPR and first aid training companies, this course gives you the practical knowledge and skills to respond to a wide variety of medical emergencies. The material provides simple to follow steps, and training is conducted with the goal of building confidence and developing a willingness to respond to someone in need of medical assistance.

First Aid & CPR Plus certifies you in Emergency First Response (EFR). This full-day course includes:

  • Primary Care (CPR & AED)
  • Secondary Care (First Aid)
  • Care for Children
  • Emergency Oxygen Provider Orientation

Primary Care (CPR) - Learn how to identify and treat life-threatening injury or illness using the cycle-of-care, and the appropriate steps to take when first on the scene to a medical emergency providing the best chance of survival for the victim. Skills include:

  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Serious bleeding, spinal injury, and shock management
  • Choking first aid for adults, children, and infants

Secondary Care (First Aid) - Learn how to handle various non-life-threatening injury or illness while minimizing further harm. Skills include:

  • First Aid treatment for adults, children, and infants including bandaging and splinting
  • How to properly monitor a patient, and when to contact Emergency Medical Services
  • Steps to take if Emergency Medical Services are delayed or unavailable

Emergency Oxygen Provider Orientation - Learn about one of the most important life-saving skills including:

  • Why emergency O2 makes a critical difference to a patient in many life-threatening situations
  • When and how it should be administered to a patient who's life may depend on it
  • Instructor demonstration of how to properly handle, set up, and administer O2
