Silversides Living on the Kittiwake Wreck
Category : East End
Date : Jul 14th 2012
- Silversides have moved on to the Kittiwake and in to the ships engine room. Silversides bloom each Summer in the Cayman Islands, and have a tendency to take residence in protected caves or other sheltered areas, such as inside a shipwreck. An amazing photo opportunity and an amazing dive. The Silver Sides only last a few months and are soon part of the food chain and gobbled up by the Jacks, Tarpon and other predatory fish.
- Ocean Frontiers dives the Kittiwake Shipwreck once a week. For more details and to book a trip, click here.
