Return to the Hunt...

Sharpen your spears and prepare to dive off the beaten path and dive into no-mans land.  Join Ocean Frontiers on Saturday 2nd October 2021, for a day of diving unhunted territory where the invasive lionfish have been left unchecked. Venture away from the moored dive sites on the island's premium fleet of dive boats - built to explore with loads of space to spend the whole day.

Come and do your part and enjoy some amazing dives in the process. When was the last time you got to dive where other divers have never seen before?  The Lionfish Safari Hunt will be a 3-tank dive all-day trip. Nitrox and nitrox dive computers are required for all dives.  Divers will be deployed using our secret 'parachute drop' technique to cover over a mile of reef per boat for each tank.  Bring your own lunch and get some rest the night before.

The October Hunt marks the start of more frequently scheduled Lionfish hunts to step up our game and keep up the fight against this invasive species.  While the Lionfish are largely under control at most frequently visited dive sites, other areas have seen an increase in Lionfish populations.  We need to keep up the good work and continue to cull Red Lionfish for the sake of protecting our coral reefs.  Our current plan is to run these 'Residents Only' Lionfish Hunts four to six times per year, as needed based on the threat level that we will asses after each hunt.
