Lionfish Culling Class & Dive - Saturday 24th @ 9:00am - CI$25

A class and dive on why and how to cull the invasive Red Lionfish in the Cayman Islands. Since Covid and the closure of our borders to tourism, the Lionfish have made a resurgence and are once again becoming a threat to our reefs and local fish populations.
 

• Includes a classroom session, followed by dry land target practice and a 1-Tank boat dive.
• After taking the class you will be permitted to cull Lionfish using a sling spear from our boats.
• All participants are permitted to keep what you catch.
• A despining and filleting demonstration will be conducted back at the dock after the dive.
• This is not the full PADI Lionfish Culling Specialty certification(which is available for a fee).
  
  Must be a certified diver to participate in the class and dive trip.
