Named after McCurley Greene, who lives directly onshore and runs a car rental and airport transfer business, McCurley's Wall is shallow on top — just 40 feet in places — yet the drop-off is as steep and magnificent as any on Grand Cayman's eastern reefs. This makes the dive accessible to all levels while still delivering the mind-blowing effect of dropping to 80+ feet with the wall extending far above your head, creating the sensation of being much deeper than you actually are.
Look closely at the black coral and deep-sea fans for Neck Crabs — decorator crabs that camouflage themselves with pieces of algae and detritus from their habitat. East of the pin, a narrow chimney accessible from a crack in the wall at around 80 feet provides an exciting transition from the deep blue wall to the dazzling reef shelf above, making for a satisfying and dramatic end to the dive.
