Many rumors exist about the name of this site, but the official version is that it comes from the dreamy topography of swim-throughs, overhangs, and archways. For a more colorful version, ask your captain. Not only does Fantasea Land boast jaw-dropping topography, but it also has excellent marine life — immense outcroppings of reef and coral meadows stretch out to the south of the miniwall, with large areas of Star Coral that spawn spectacularly each fall. Fantasea Land is one of the best locations on East End to witness this annual event.
After exploring the magnificent fields of coral to the south and getting wonderfully lost in the intricate swim-throughs, divers can end their dives on top of the miniwall at only 25 feet. Hunting for critters such as gobies and blennies can make the safety stop fly by. The combination of dramatic architecture, rich coral formations, and great critter potential makes Fantasea Land one of the most memorable dives in the Frank Sound zone — and one you will want to repeat.
