Named after a broken-down rock crusher that sat on the shoreline for many years and was used as a navigation line-up by boat captains before moorings were installed, Crusher's Wall offers three distinct options for beginning the dive. The simplest is to head directly from the pin to the drop-off, where two gorgeous freestanding pinnacles can be found. For those feeling bold, dropping into a large sand patch inside the wall and following a steep canyon leads to the same pinnacles. The most audacious option: a dark hole just left of the canyon entrance leads through an intense swim-through that exits right by the first pinnacle — all three routes converge at the same point.
Beyond the pinnacles, the site offers plenty of headlands, ledges, and overhangs to explore, as well as an undersea cable that runs down the wall and into the ocean — a ghostly and fascinating detail in an already dramatic landscape. Crusher's Wall is a deeply satisfying dive that rewards adventurous divers with dramatic topography, excellent coral coverage, and the kind of variety that makes it worth multiple visits.
