Located just offshore from Morritt's Resort, Cinderella's Castle is a fantasy sunken palace of passageways, pillars, and windows filled with tropical fish. The site is a shallow open cavern network of ancient rock formations creating a magical maze of interconnected rooms illuminated by brilliant light shafts that burst through chimney ceilings. Decorative Lace corals are draped throughout, while Elkhorn corals form a fortress defense on top of the Cayman reef — the whole effect is as dramatic as the name suggests.
Look below the Elkhorns for the stunning juvenile Yellowtail Damselfish. As youngsters, they lack their characteristic yellow tail but their bodies are covered in tiny incandescent blue spots that appear to glow from within — a dazzling sight in the sunlit shallows. Cinderella's Castle is another must-see site on East End, and its accessible depths make it perfect for divers of all experience levels.
