Babylon is named after the famous Hanging Gardens — one of the seven wonders of the ancient world — and is consistently rated one of the Top 10 dives in the Caribbean. Its defining feature is a towering freestanding pinnacle that rises from over 100 feet in the depths and tops out at just 45 feet at its peak. Divers should circle it several times at different depths to fully appreciate its scale; swimming between the pinnacle and the wall is a thrilling experience, with corals and sponges growing toward each other on both sides, leaving just enough space to pass through.
Despite its legendary reputation, Babylon is an easy dive — even first-timers are brought here to take their first ocean breaths. After circling the pinnacle, the shallow top of the wall is a perfect place to extend dive time. Wide-open expanses of sand, coral fingers, and abundant marine life thrive in this bright, sun-filled environment, making it one of the most photogenic dive sites on the island.
