Thirty years ago, a dive boat named Nauti-Cat slipped into the waters off of Grand Cayman's remote East End, where Steve Broadbelt, Mo Fitzgerald, and Troy Burke opened Ocean Frontiers, a little dive operation that would grow into something much larger.

On Valentine’s Day 2026, Ocean Frontiers and Compass Point Dive Resort will celebrate its 30th birthday. What started as three people, a hand-built dock, and a hand-built dive boat has grown into the Caribbean's most-awarded dive operation—but what hasn’t changed in those 30 years then is the philosophy they started with: the best dive boats, the best staff and the best dive sites, making scuba diving and snorkelling safe, easy, and fun, for the experience of a lifetime in the Cayman Islands.

Free Bonus Glow Night Dive

 

Your complementary Multi-Color Night Dive takes place on a Tuesday evening and departs from the dock at Compass Point Dive Resort, just before sunset. 

 

Unlike traditional nocturnal dives that rely solely on white light to reveal nocturnal creatures, Ocean Frontiers’ night dives use special multi-color dive lights, including ultraviolet (UV) LEDs. These lights illuminate the reef in ways your daytime dives never could — revealing fluorescent corals, anemones, and marine life glowing in vibrant neon hues.

 

This spectacle isn’t just about color — it’s thanks to natural fluorescence. Many reef organisms contain proteins that absorb one wavelength of light and emit another, so when UV light shines on them, they seem to glow with surreal intensity, like neon undersea stars.

 

Ultraviolet night diving with Ocean Frontiers isn’t just another dive — it’s an immersive sensory experience. The reef that thrives by day takes on an almost alien, otherworldly glow once the sun sets. Even seasoned divers who have seen a thousand dives will marvel at how familiar coral formations seem to come alive under UV illumination.
