PADI Swim School for Preschoolers (ages 3-5) - 2022 Registration Open!

The perfect age to begin developing functional swim skills while building in-water confidence. Watch your child’s love for swimming grow while practicing fundamental skills through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Description

Designed to meet the needs of children ages 3 to 5, this Learn to Swim program will develop a high level of comfort in the water and a readiness to swim. For those children who are developmentally ready, it will also teach functional swim skills. This class teaches swimming through fun and creative activities in the water.

Class Highlights & Safety

  • Small personalized classes to meet each students' needs
  • Receive regular student report cards to track your child’s progression
  • Classes are held at our outdoor training pool, complete with showers and changerooms

Requirements

  • Parent or caregiver must be present on pool deck during class
  • Child must be potty trained
  • No previous in-water experience needed
Curriculum

Classes are grouped by age and ability. Following the Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI) five-stage curriculum, each stage focuses on a different core competency. In order of progression White-Red-Yellow-Blue-Green, students work toward developing the five competencies and achieving the stage benchmarks at their own pace.

Level 1
        White - Trust & Submersion
        Red - Body Position & Air Recovery

Level 2
        Yellow - Forward Movement
        Blue - Rotary Movement

Level 3
        Blue - Rotary Movement
        Green - Integrated Movement

        Term 1: Jan 8 - Feb 26 (8-weeks)       
        Term 2: Mar 12 - May 7
(7-weeks, no classes Apr 16 & 23)
        Term 3: May 14 - Jun 25 (7-weeks)

        Level 1 Saturdays 8:00 - 8:30 am
        Level 2 Saturdays 8:30 - 9:00 am
        Level 3 Saturdays 9:00 - 9:30 am     

Term Cost

        Term 1: CI $200: 8x 30-min classes    
        Term 2: CI $175:
7x 30-min classes
        Term 3: CI $175: 7x 30-min classes

*Prices are pro-rated for students who join mid-term

  • Bring in a new student to our Swim School - receive a 10% Discount for both you and your Buddy *applies to the cost of the current, full term only

  3. Full payment is required to complete your registration - this can be done by card over the phone or in person at Ocean Frontiers

Instruction

Your Instructor is an SAI certified Swim Instructor offering the highest quality instruction to promote safety and skill development in the water. They are further trained in Water Rescue, CPR & First Aid, and have completed Stewards of Children training through Darkness to Light.
